About AmperageHQ

Electrical fires cause tens of thousands of house fires each year in the United States, and many of them start from mistakes that could have been prevented with the right knowledge. AmperageHQ takes electrical safety seriously — every article we publish is grounded in National Electrical Code standards and written by someone who has spent nearly two decades pulling wire and upgrading panels.

Our Mission

The difference between a safe electrical project and a dangerous one often comes down to a single connection, the right gauge of wire, or knowing when to stop and call a licensed electrician. We're here to give you that knowledge — clear, code-compliant, and without the condescension you sometimes get at the hardware store.

What We Cover

A Note on Safety

Electrical work can be dangerous. Always follow your local codes and permit requirements, turn off breakers before working on circuits, and consult a licensed electrician for work that exceeds your skill level or confidence. The information on AmperageHQ is for educational purposes and does not replace professional judgement.
